Lenovo launched a new gaming notebook lineup called the Ideapad Y700. This series is not only featuring Nvidia’s newer Maxwell 2.0 notebook graphics chip GTX 960M, but also Intel’s 6th Skylake Core i7 processor. The specification are as follows:

There would be a 15″ 1080p panel variant. All within this series is bundled with Windows 10. The unit with this configuration is priced at Rs. 1,25,000/-, but the only way one can buy this notebook is from Lenovo India’s online store. That’s really on a bummer, considering units from Asus and MSI with equivalent builds are available on retail via stores.

There are some accessories available, such as a Lenovo branded gaming mouse with 4 weight cartridges, up to 1,000 Hz polling rate and DPI setting of up to 8,200- a number that probably nobody would use. There is a mechanical switch keyboard, but it’s not yet known if its based on Kalih or Cherry MX switches. But it does have on-the-fly macro, anti-ghosting, ‘red’ switches (both brands have red switch variant) and a detachable wrist rest. There’s a 7.1 surround sound headset with both USB and 3.5mm jack for phone and tablets, along with a detachable microphone.
Like a lot of brands, Lenovo is also having a backpack for notebooks up to 17.3″ size.
There’s also a desktop variant, but not a lot of information is given.
