MSI released 14 motherboards with the newly available USB 3.1 ports, out of which one of them also has a Type-C port. It also should be pointed that there are a couple of AMD AM3+ variants- 990FXA Gaming and 970A SLI Krait Edition.

The following motherboards use ASMedia ASM1142 controller that provides support for 2x USB 3.1 ports which complies with USB-IF’s 10 Gb/s transfer rate standard. As always the Type-A connector has backwards compatibility while Type-C is useful for connecting newer devices (including smartphones) with the new reversible cables. It’s noteworthy that some motherboard makers who have talked about USB 3.1 are actually providing a standalone USB 3.1 PCIe x1 card.
